Pain Management

The Pain Management Division delivers a team-based approach to the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment on painful disorders.  Treatment primarily consists of minor interventional procedures performed in the office.  We have two pain anesthesiologists and a large support staff in order to provide the best care possible for our patients.

Conditions Treated Include:

Neurosurgery

Our neurosurgeons and staff operate as a team in order to provide the best care possible for our patients.  Nurse practitioners will often help assess new patients and may assist on small surgical cases.  Our neurosurgeons typically assist one another on complex spinal and cranial cases.  Each of our neurosurgeons regularly train on novel techniques and provide educational services on a local and national level.  Our surgeons have expertise in new technologies including minimally invasive approaches and disc replacement.

Conditions Treated Include:

A Note on Laser Spine Surgery

The spine centers that are advertising laser surgery perform standard spinal procedures in a minimally invasive manner.  The laser being promoted has little basis in science and even less evidence to support its use in the spine.  We perform these exact same procedures without the additional use of the laser.  Our practice and the vast majority of spine surgeons around the country currently do not advocate the use of lasers in the spine.  We determine how to use the most state-of-the-art techniques in order to provide the best treatment options for our patients.
