  • We are pleased to announce that Brian Lapp, PA-C will be joining the Pain Management Division on May 21, 2012.  Lapp graduated with a Bachelor's in Physical Education from Wittenberg University, a Master's in Exercise Physiology from Miami University, and a Master's in Medicine-Physician Assistant from Western Michigan University.  He has spent the last few years serving in the United States Navy and we are proud to have him join VBSC.

  • Virginia Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, directed by Dr. Selznick & Dr. Lyons, is now a Level 4 NAEC Epilepsy Center (National Association of Epilepsy Centers), the highest level of epilepsy centers in the country.  There are only three NAEC epilepsy centers in Virginia and the program offered at Virginia Brain & Spine Center is one of them.

Virginia Brain and Spine Center (VBSC) is a multi-specialty group medical practice comprised of neurosurgeons and pain anesthesiologists.  We work closely with area neurologists, neuro-imaging specialists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and psychologists to coordinate individual care needs. Our professional staff is compassionate and discreet, and there to help facilitate communication with insurance carriers, employers, and referring physicians. We provide surgical and non-surgical care for problems involving the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves as well as general pain management services.  We are located in Winchester, Virginia and have continuously expanded our services and outreach beyond the Shenandoah Valley region.  Most of our patients live in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Maryland.
